The Secretary of State for International Development, Douglas Alexander, was in Hove today to meet local people who are playing their part in the fight against world poverty.
He began the visit by officially opening the new offices of AIDS Alliance on Davigdor Road. Following this, Celia hosted a panel discussion at the charity which also involved TB Alert and Target TB. Questions were focused around the work the organisations are undertaking to improve health services in some of the world's poorest countries.
Celia then took the Secretary of State to Cornerstone Community Centre for a town hall style discussion including people who had written to her about international development issues and local charities.
