On 11 December 2007, I asked:

"To ask the Secretary of State for Justice what steps he is taking to implement the recommendations of the Corston report; and if he will make a statement."

The Minister responsible, David Hanson, said:

"I refer my hon. Friend to my written ministerial statement of 6 December 2007, Official Report, column 96WS, which announced the publication of the Government's response to the Corston report. The response sets out the commitments that have been made across government to take forward the recommendations. The response provides a summary of timescales for actions over the next 12 months."
