Celia Barlow Measures her Carbon Footprint
Celia Barlow MP calls for greater reduction in UK carbon Emissions

Local Labour MP Celia Barlow MP is calling for a greater reduction in carbon emissions in the UK.

Celia Barlow MP said: "Climate change is of utmost importance; I think we all have a duty to reduce our impact on the environment. It is only by pulling together that we can make the difference that is needed and I am keen that me and my family do our best to contribute to this.” Recently, the environment friendly MP has invested in an offset your carbon emissions organization, by supporting sustainable energy projects.

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing humanity; and the solution will be strongly dependant on individual effort. Because of this Celia Barlow has measured her carbon footprint.  Her total carbon output was 4.05 carbon tons compared to an average footprint of 4.48.  Celia Barlow has been able to achieve this below average carbon footprint through the use of low energy light-bulbs, loft insulation and owning a hybrid car. She strongly supports the work of Act on Co2 which measures and reduces individual carbon footprints, and is committed to achieving a large reduction in the overall carbon emissions in the UK.

Carbon offsets enable anyone to reduce their climate footprint by supporting projects that reduce carbon dioxide emissions to balance out one’s own carbon footprint. To learn more on how to offset your carbon footprint, visit Climatecare.org.
